1. What’s it like around here the first of the year with people making new year’s resolutions? “It normally picks up. We run a membership month for the month of January and people are always coming in making their new year’s resolution.” 2. Is this the time of year you get the most memberships? “New memberships. They always say I’m starting the first of the year and come in. January is our main month.” 3. Do you see a lot more people this time of year making fitness or weight loss new year’s resolutions? “That’s most of our resolutions, to lose the weight. They come in and say I’m going to lose so many pounds by this date.” 4. How long do most people last with their plans? “We find anywhere between three to six months. We never really see them come in and stay throughout the whole year. It’s normally they come in and they are already to go. They don’t really last.” 5. Do a lot of people achieve their goals? “There are quite a few who come in and achieve their goals if they don’t give up. That’s the main thing they can’t give up.” 6. What’s it take to keep a resolution? “What it takes is just a lot of encouragement. They come in and their main thing is they want to lose weight but they want to lose it now and it doesn’t happen overnight so a lot of them come in and just say I’m going to just give up. You keep encouraging them and they will come back. And a lot of hard work.”  7. What is the biggest reason people fail? “They don’t see the results right away. They come in and they want to see results within the first one or two weeks and it takes a lot longer just to see the results. I think if they would stick around two months, three months, then once they start seeing those results, I think they would stay longer.”
