MARYLENA L. ROBERTS, 89, died at 9 p.m. May 1, 2005, at Lima Convalescent Home.
She was born March 31, 1916, in Delphos to George and Katherine Radell Stirn, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 6, 1936, she married Floyd Roberts, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker. She was a member of Gomer United Church of Christ and its Circle. She was a member of the Young at Heart. She enjoyed reading, needlework, gardening, spending time with her family, jokes and her dogs.
Survivors include four daughters, Darlene (Don) Montooth of Elida, Diane (Ferris) Croy of Fort Wayne, Ind., Nancy (Brian) Foye of Houston, Texas, and Linda (Jeff Fischer) Zerbe of Blue Springs, Mo.; and nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jill Lloyd Nichols; a granddaughter-in-law, Jayne Croy; two brothers, Richard and Lowell Stirn; and five sisters, Alta and Thelma Stirn, Lorene Buettner, Ruth Fisher and Dorothy Fritz.
Services will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos. The Rev. Brian Knoderer will officiate. Burial will be in Pike Run Cemetery, east of Gomer.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
